Annual General Meeting



The Annual General Meeting of the Midland Automobile Club (Est. 1901) Limited will be held at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb in The Courtyard on 26 April 2024 at 7:00pm.

 

Nominations for the Board

Notice is hereby given in accordance with the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Midland Automobile Club (Est. 1901) Limited that the Chair will receive nominations for members of the Board for the coming year.

 

  1. Nominations of members for the Board (including a brief CV) should be sent to Sarah Browne at the club office or sarah@shelsleywalsh.com to arrive no later than COB Tuesday 12th March 2024.

  2. Each nomination should be signed by at least two members of the Club.

  3. No person shall sign more than one nomination form.

  4. No person may be nominated as a candidate for the Board unless they are a member of the Club at the time of nomination and have expressed their willingness to stand. The nominee must sign to agree that they are willing to stand.

  5. Members of the Board retiring by rotation are eligible for re-election.

  6. Notification of the candidates for the Board will be made when the online voting portal opens on 29th March 2024.

  7. Should there be more candidates than vacancies, the election shall be by electronic ballot and voting at the AGM, the combined result to be declared at the Annual General Meeting.

 

Nominations for Club President

Notice is hereby given in accordance with the Memorandum and Articles ofAssociation of the Midland Automobile Club (Est. 1901) Limited that the Chair will receive nominations for Club President for the coming year.

 

  1. Nominations for Club President (including a brief CV) should be sent to Sarah Browne at the club office or sarah@shelsleywalsh.com to arrive no later than Tuesday 12th March 2024.

  2. Each nomination should be signed by at least two members of the Club.

  3. No person shall sign more than one nomination form.

  4. No person may be nominated as a candidate for Club President unless they are a member of the Club at the time of nomination and have expressed their willingness to stand. The nominee must sign to agree that they are willing to stand.

  5. The Club President is eligible for re-election if they have not served more than 5 consecutive terms and there has been a year gap since last serving.

  6. Notification of the candidates for Club President will be made when the online voting portal opens on 29th March 2024.

  7. Should there be multiple candidates, an election shall be by electronic ballot and voting at the AGM, the combined result to be declared at the Annual General Meeting.

 

Inclusion of questions in AOB

The last agenda item of official business will be AOB.

Members are asked to submit AOB to Mark Harrison (mark@shelsleywalsh.com) by 12th March 2024. These questions and answers will be included in the formal minutes of the meeting.

After the conclusion of the formal business there will be an opportunity for general discussion for anyone who wishes to raise points but not as official business.
